About

Hotel Inning is a small, independent index of hotels. It covers four categories and nothing else: art hotels, capsule hotels, casino hotels and ice hotels.

Why those four? Each is a distinct way of thinking about a room. One treats the room as a gallery, one shrinks it to a bed, one wraps it in a resort, one builds it from ice. Seen side by side, the differences are easy to read.

What an entry contains

Every hotel gets a short written portrait: where it is, what defines it, and what staying there is like. A few plain tags sit underneath. We leave out scores, stars and price bands on purpose.

Who pays for it

No hotel pays to appear, and no entry is sponsored. There is no booking engine and no commission. If that ever changes, this page will say so first.

Corrections

Hotels renovate, rename and change hands. If something here is out of date, the contact page explains how to tell us.
